Conviction - a key to success

The very first step in climbing the ladder of success is firm conviction about one's own ability.

People are afraid of accepting challenges and responsibilities because they doubt their capacity to perform well; they underestimate themselves and loose wonderful opportunities in life.

For most of us, its fear of failure which stops us from taking action. We really don't want to take a "risk of failure".

If that's preventing you from achieving your dream, then my advise is that... Do not Fear from failure. And build a self confidence about your ability. Say with a confidence that you can do it. Never doubt your inner strength. You may not be aware at present, but believe that infinite power is lodged within you and will come out with all its glory when you sincerely call upon it by way of positive attitude.

Swami Vivekananda said, "Never mind failures, they are quite natural, they are the beauty of life, these failures. What would life be without them? So never mind these failures, these little backsliding; hold on to the ideal a thousand times, and if you fail a thousand times make the attempt once more".

Remember? Thomas Alva Edison, one of the greatest scientists, who made a series of inventions, had a great conviction in his capacity. He had made over thousand experiments before he succeeded in inventing the electric bulb!!!

So remember following:

  • Believe in your inner strength & ability
  • Never mind failures, make an attempt now, even if you fail, you'll learn lot from each failure
  • Dare to take risk

It's very true that we, each one have tremendous inner strength. but unfortunately very few of us can recognize. This is also highlighted by many great personalities and it has been also pointed out by all Holy books.

But question is that In spite of knowing all this WHY only Few can do it? Why not all? What is that factor? Success is Dream of each one.

Many times it also happens that Person is doing his/her best and keep trying till death.but cant do it. and sometime A person without much effort gets success quickly. Is that Luck? Or life is all about preplanned by someone, say almighty.

I would rather to say that Conviction is one of the key for the High Probability of Success.

Hi Naresh,

Thanks for your comments.

Definitely, Conviction is just one of the many key factors. What you say, is true, that each one have tremendous inner strength, but unfortunately very few has guts to try and make things happen.

Every one of us wants to get success. But how many are ready to give it a try? How many are ready to take a Risk? How many are ready to take responsibility for change, and rather than being just observers.. how many are ready to participate to change?

I think success is a journey, and failure is one of the very important ingredient of Success. We might be doing best, but that best may not necessarily reach to the result we want. And that we can find only by Doing it. And someone just does it at first attempt. So it seems that, one is failing after much efforts and attempt, but another is getting success quickly.

This is purely a chance, a chance of choosing some alternative over other. And that is.. a choice.. a decision. So you can say that it might be because of luck.. but remember, that any attempt.. even if it results in failure.. is never going to vain.. instead.. one that has tasted failure earlier... has better chance of success than those who hasn't failed yet..

So, if you put attempt, sooner or later.. you will get desired results.

Remember, there is only shortcut to success, and that is Hard Work. So believe on yourself, your abilities, and put your best at work.... even if you fail, the lessons you learn will be worth a million.
